Congee -
serves 4 |

Ingredients:
- (1)
1 t. soy sauce
1/2 t. cooking wine
1 t. conrstarch
- (2)
2t. salt 1/4 t. pepper
1/8 t. pepper
- (3)
2 T. shreeded ginger root
2 T. shredded green onion
4 T. coriander
- (4) 8 bowls of congee (cooked)
- (5) 1/3 lb. (150 g) beef
loin (removed tendons)
- (6) 7 oz. (200 g.) tomatoes
or stir-fried green vegetable

DIRECTIONS:

First
cook congee: Bring 16 c. water to a boil. Add
2c. uncooked rice and bring to a boil. Remove
from heat.

Cut beef loin against the grain into thin slices.
Add (1) and marinate in for 10 minutes.

Bring the cooked congee and (2) to a boil. Add
beef and stir to separate. Cook untile color changes
(for about 30 seconds) and remove from heat.

Sprinkle (3) over individual bowls of the congee
and serve hot.
