QUESTION:
For anyone who doesn't already know - Beijing has been chosen as the host city for the 2008 Olympic Games. Whilst the history of the Olympics does not stretch back quite as far as Chinese history, the Olympics has its own culture, rules and etiquette.

In the Olympic opening procession, the team representing the host nation always marches in what position?

A. First;
B. Second;
C. Last;
D. They don't march at all.

ANSWERS:
Give yourself 10 points if you said C. During the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games, the procession of athletes is always led by the Greek team, followed by all the other teams in alphabetical order (in the language of the hosting country).

The host nation team marches last to a thunderous standing ovation from the home crowd. The Beijing Games will be the Games of the XXVIX Olympiad and you can count on the fact that every Chinese man, woman and child will be cheering as the Olympic torch makes its way into the stadium to light the flame and begin the procession.

Will you be there? You had better order your hotel room now!
