Liurong
Temple
Liurong Temple (Six Banyan Temple in English) is situated
on the Liurong Road, Guangzhou. Built in 537 with original
name of Baoyan Temple, it is a renowned Buddhist cultural
site enshrining three large Buddhist statues - the biggest
copper Buddhist statues existing in Guangdong province.
The thousand-Buddha copper pillar cast in the Yuan Dynasty
is kept on the top story of the dagoba which is popularly
known as the Flower Pagoda due to the colorful exterior
carvings. RMB5 for entry, RMB10 for Flower Pagoda. Opens
from 8am to 5pm.
Qiniang
Mountain
Situated in the north of Dapeng Peninsula, the highest
peak of Qiniang Mountain is 867.4 meters high. Qiniang
means seven fairies in Chinese which indicates there
is a beautiful story. The evergreen broad-leaved forest,
several waterfalls and numerous wildlife make it a natural
park and zoo for people to explore the magnificence
of nature. Hunting place, resort and food center are
