Longxue
Island
Longxue Island Tourism Zone is located in the east of
Longxue Island, used to be called as Longxue Islet.
Longxue means "dragon's lair" in Chinese,
indicating the ancient Chinese mythology about the mysterious
dragon. There are many sea caves around the island,
which are named as Cyprinoid Palace, Shrimp Palace,
Crab Palace, and Dragon Palace. Now in the tourism zone
there are holiday villa, electronic playground, seafood
restaurants, and other entertainment facilities to ensure
a wonderful holiday for you.
Neilingding
Island-Futian National Nature Reserve
Occupying an area of 922 hectares, the Reserve is consisted
of two areas - Neilingding Island and Futian Mangrove.
Neilingding Island is located in the eastern side of
the Pearl River Estuary, adjacent to Shenzhen, Zhuhai,
Hong Kong and Macau. Plants on the Island are in high
diversity, and wild animals are widely distributed.
Futian Mangrove together with Mai Po Mangrove of Hong
Kong constitutes the Shenzhen Deep Bay Mangrove wetland.
Mangrove plants flourish along a 9km coastlines from
Xinzhou Estuary in the east to the Costal Ecological
Park in the west. There are 194 bird species in Futian
Mangrove, including 23 national key protection species.
