Guangxiao
Temple
Located at the north of Renmin Park, Guangxiao Temple
is the most magnificent and influential temple in Lingnan
area with a history of over 1,700 years. A well-known
saying states that there is Guangxiao Temple before
the existence of Guangzhou. Many eminent monks have
been here such as Tanmoyeshe, Dharma, Master Huineng,
and Jianzhen. There are historical monuments inside
the temple, like the Mahavira Palace, Yifa Pagoda, Dharani
Pillar, Samgharama Hall, as well as steles, figures
of Buddha, Retz and Bohdi trees. The temple is much
valuable to Chinese Buddhism history, cultural history,
architecture history and Guangdong's local history.
There will be a Dharma Assembly of Buddha Recitation
to pray for wellbeing during December 26, 2009 to January

Honghu
Lake Park
The park is located at Wenjin Bei Lu, downtown of Luohu
District, Shenzhen featuring lotus and water sports.
There are three lakes in the park, separately being
Honghu Lake, Jingyi Lake, Liangxiang Lake, total area
being 266,900 square meters. Honghu Lake is the place
to have fun with many water rides, while Jingyi and
Liangxiang are places to enjoy lotus, water lily, Victoria
regia and other aquatic flowers. Various exhibitions
